The common thread among these three is the requirement for understanding and developing applications, both in software and services, using imaging, database and graphics processes. To this end we employ a staff of software developers, project managers and production specialists to design and implement solutions for large, complex projects in a variety of industries.

LGI's Mapping and GIS group develops and supports MAP2PDF, the product which allows the publication of  GIS spatial data, engineering maps, drawings and attribute data to geo-referenced intelligent PDF files for viewing and use by any device with Adobe Reader. MAP2PDF enables PDF files to display latitude and longitude, measure distances, query external databases and search for data by street addresses, intersections, equipment data and full text content. The CAD Software and Services group develops and supports CAD2PDF, a product that provides automated rendering of CAD files to scaled, geo-registered and text searchable PDF files. They also provide large volume CAD plotting, scanning of paper and microfilm to hybrid CAD formats and custom software development. Our Document Scanning group processes hundreds of thousand of paper and microfilm documents each week for customers who need fast, legible conversion of their original documents to digital images for use in many different document management and retrieval systems. To enable retrieval, these images must also be indexed with accuracy rates usually exceeding 99%. As our references will attest, Layton Graphics delivers the kind of rapid throughput and accuracy required for a successful conversion project.
